About me
Who is Janelle?
I have over 15 years of experience in Corporate America, specializing in the financial services industry, and 10 years of coaching and mentoring others as a part of my job. My goal is to partner with you so you are empowered to steer your ship in the right direction. I have a:
- head for strategy,
- heart for action, and a
- soul for understanding,
Starting off my business in my spare time while balancing the demands of a very stressful job, I have been able to grow that small business into one that serves clients in over 15 countries and support a sustainable, exciting life.
With my tools and experience, I will partner with you in a way that helps you map out a plan to succeed in the most pressing areas of your life!
What made me want to become a professional coach?
After finishing my Masters of Business Administration (MBA) a few years ago, I took a step back and said “Now what?” I didn’t like where I was in my career and wasn’t excited about the prospect of continuing to climb the corporate ladder in my field. Now don’t get me wrong, I liked a lot of aspects of my job and mentoring + coaching fell into that category. So the next thing I had to ask myself was “What do I do with this?” Well, me being the constant planner that I am I started to do some research. I wanted to take all of the parts of my job that I loved, which included:
coaching, mentoring, personal and professional development connecting with people, and good salary;).
And get rid of all of the parts of my job that I didn’t love. Some of those things included:
bad bosses, dealing with miserable co-workers, pettiness and ungrateful people, long commutes, and someone else determining when it’s time for me to move forward in my career.
Once I had done a fair amount of research I realized that becoming a professional coach was a perfect fit for me! I would get the chance to work with a wide variety of clients and be able to do so on a more flexible schedule. That’s when I decided to register for an International Coaching Federation (ICF) approved school and the rest, as they say, is history. That’s enough about me, now let’s talk about you!
